Sounds like a bad ground for the lighting. Look for a ground connection to the trailer frame...probably loose or corroded.

Just back from the hitch just under the tt there should be an electrical box with all your connections check there to.

If there is a bad ground, would the front left and right running lights still work?

Each light needs a ground to work. Yes (1) or (none) can work at any time. If you have a trailer,you will have light problems eventually. Youroo!!

you might want to ask on a Keystone Owner's forum, since the Sprinter is made by Keystone and not by Forest River.
