That sounds great but definitely above my skill level

Good point! Does anyone know if the Liteswich is fused?

That's true unless like in my case the truck is not usually attached when camping and I'm running a separate hot wire to the switch from the battery that I want fused. Plus being that I'm turning on about 15 lights at once a relay is a good idea.

You guys are starting to cause me to run low on funds. I find this as a must have. I just bought one direct from the manufacturer. Luckily they are just down the road from me here in Wisconsin so I should have mine pretty quick...

For $7 and 2 inches of wire you could make your own?
7 Way Blade Connector Socket
You can even incorporate a fuse.

I just can't justify paying $30 for something a 25 cent fuse will do.

True but I like to have things look neat. I spent several thousand on the trailer and figured $30 is a drop in the bucket, a mere fraction for an apparently quality built product. I don't have any affiliation with the company or product,, just really liked what I saw. I run into the same thing with the motorcycle I like to ride as well as other brands. Guys spend 10's of thousands on the bike and then cheap out on things like the oil filter.
I also asked directly about it being fused as this came up in the discussion. The manufacturer just responded that it is indeed fused.

Awesome, thanks!
I know there are cheaper ways but I agree with you, I like things done just so. And the switch is bonus, no wrestling with the plug!

Almost like taking plug adapter (wires or pigtail) from RV, jumping the pins, and plugging it into your camperRV.
It was something like $10. I can not find it now. Has anyone else seen one.
It was different than https://www.amazon.com/Camper-LITESW.../dp/B075JP5C8C

Instead of a fuse, use a flasher (motorcycle supply stores carry them as does Autozone). Say for instance you have to pull off the side of the road at night and you need to drop your trailer to go get parts or help, the flasher will flash your trailer lights.

Can you post a link? Not sure what to look for and sounds like it it a good thing to have. Lol for emergencies, not for at the campground. I can’t even imagine that! 🤣

Here is a small inexpensive item at amazon for less than $20. Just plug it onto the cord end instead of using that fuse.
https://www.amazon.com/AP-Products-0...a-568069456289
It is available on eBay too for less than $15

Personally, we have found a mini fuse, plugged in above the two prongs, works perfectly for us.

i skimmed the patent, and found nop mention of one, however i would think given the light duty rating of the pushbutton switch they use (i would assume the switch is rated at MAYBE 20a) it would act as a fuse if there were an issue?
