Running/tail lights shorting out

Hey everyone, I知 Kevin. First post, other than the Welcome Mat. We have a 2018 325Pack13 Wolf Pack toy hauler. I知 looking to see if anyone knows HOW the trailer light wires are run through the rig. Does a harness run to the tail of the bumper and get dispersed to the camper body like the frame manufacturer ran that, or does the harness split and branch off through the length of the chassis?

I started blowing a truck fuse on occasion for my trailer tail lights. I began inspection at the plug and found the molded plug end was pulling from the harness sheathing. I replaced that for good measure. My lights worked for about a minute or two, in the driveway, then blew another fuse. I started looking around under the trailer and found that past the fuel tank in the rear, I can see the light harness running through the trailer. The rest is tucked under the underbelly insulation. The loom ends just where the light harness runs into the back bumper and the wires are long enough that the loom had pulled down and wires were rubbing on the crude opening. Still, no chaffed wires indicating a short.

All in all, I知 quite handy with my meter. I just don稚 know where to begin. If the light harness runs from the pin to the bumper in a straight line, I can pop the wire off the tail and check for shorts / possibly replace or pull a new wire. If they split off at each light location from front running lights and side markers, I am not sure what to do. I don稚 want to hack up my tail light wire looking to poke and prod. Do I pull all the bulbs out and look for something fishy?

Any sound advice I知 willing to take. Thanks!

I believe I found the issue! The wires were laying in a pile of rust in the back bumper. I cleaned all the wires, re-connected them, and water proofed 粗m!
