Just a guess but...
aside from the obvious (bad switch and/or wiring/connections) some LED fixtures have a small surface mounted rectifier that is placed so as to, for one thing, allow you to hook up either wire to positive or negative and also to act as a "thermal disconnect" to open the light innards in case of over current, excess heat, etc. Not sure whether scare lights use these but I know that the smaller ceiling LEDs do have them. So...just a guess but if you open the light lens (carefully!) watch for any very small (approx. 1/4" sq) plastic looking thing that may have fallen off the circuit board with the lights...easy to lose by the way...it melts itself off the circuit board thereby opening the light circuit. Sorry I cant be more precise but it's worth a look.
