solar controller issues

My 2019 GeoPro 19FD has a roof-mounted solar array and a GoPower solar controller 30amp PWM. Lately, it has been giving an error message POL and the #2. I have used my camper on two separate 3 week road trips. I have changed nothing at the battery terminals. The polarity of the batteries is the same as it has always been but I can't seem to clear it of this error message. Any ideas/experience with the same problem?

I would contact GoPower and ask them. I don't have mine with me or I wcould look it up for you.

Only problem I had was when I first got my Geo, was not showing charge on display, turned out all the wire on back of controller panel were really loose.

Looks like battery reverse polarity.

I know what the manual says about reverse polarity

I have done nothing since originally purchasing this rv to reverse the polarity of the battery. I have had it and traveled with it for 5 months without any issues. I'm trying to find out why all of a sudden it would say that it is reverse polarity when I did nothing to the battery bank, the solar array or the controller.

A battery will go reverse polarity sometimes when in a deep state of discharge. Disconnect battery 2 and see if it goes away. Then check batteries with voltmeter and hydrometer.

Battery would need to go fully dead and be charged up backwards to reverse polarity.

Maybe it's just something like the solar controller is bad? Sometimes you got to go to the dealer where they can replace the controller under warantee

Or even easier than dealer, call GoPower. Easy to replace yourself if they send you a new one. All you need is a screwdriver.

Thumbs up problem solved

Thanks to all for suggestions and help. After contacting GoPower they suggested the solution which was to cover the solar panels, disconnect the controller and power for 20-30minutes and then reconnect starting with the battery connection to the controller and then the solar wires. Bingo! it reset itself to its proper state.

Many controllers require the battery to be connected before connecting the panels.
