Solar Suitcase Input Jack

Hi All,

I'm about to upgrade the HW296 and will have an internal charge controller for a suitcase solar panel. I'm curious what connectors people recommend for the input. Id like a simple male/female plug connection that is robust and reliable, mounted on the front near he frame.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan

These SAE plugs are commonly used and have held up well for me.

How about a wall/panel mount to connect at the camper?
I think I have the Zamp connector currently... Should I reuse this or move/replace to something better?

I prefer the SAE to Zamp as it seems more popular, a wider variety of wiring seemed available for it when I was setting things up, but it should just be a matter of personal choice. I'm sure both will perform well.

this is the SAE mount that came with my trailer and so far no problems.

I use something like this that is semi-permanently attached to the battery:

I thought that the Zamp plug is an SAE plug. If they are different, how are they different?
