spare fuses, which ones?

I want to have a supply of spare fuses for my Sunseeker, but I am not sure which ones to have on hand. I have no immediate need, I just want to be prepared.

I think the fuses are smaller than the typical car fuses that are in our cars.

I have seen mini fuses and micro mini fuses listed on Amazon but I don't know if there is an actual difference.

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bobby

The fuses in the FR portion are normally ATM size. If you open the converter / power panel door you will see the sizes you need, mine are 15Amp and 25Amp. There are also a couple inline fuses in my "W" that are 10Amp... I carry a full set of ATM fuses ranging from 2.5Amp up to 40Amp I bought at PepBoys.

See your chassis owners manual for the size and ratings you will need for the van chassis. In a GM chassis you may have a mix of ATM and mini-ATM size fuses. They don't interchange so you should carry both types in the relevant amperage.

I aim to have at least one spare for every type/size of fuse for the FW and TV.

I carry a Sh_t load of everything from 7.5 to 30. The 12 volt socket is famous for blowing the fuse when some of the cheap male sockets are inserted.

I bought a kit with an assortment of fuses.. Even ones I do not need or have. Never know where you might find a fuse one day or a neighbor who gets stranded with a burned out fuse. I've given away many a cotter pin for hitch pins or for WD bars.

You can buy a spare fuse assortment pack at Camping World. It will have just about any fuse you need in it.

Our 2014 Sunseeker 2500TS has only 15 amp fuses in the main panel. They are color coded blue. These are the standard size automotive ATM size. There are also mini fuses for the TVs. I don't have that information. We have never had to replace a fuse, but we carry a bag of spares.

We carry an assortment of fuses as others have suggested, but you should not exceed the fuse amperage rating. If fuses keep blowing, you have a problem other than the fuse. A larger size, say a 20 amp in a 15 amp circuit is asking for trouble.

if you also have the resettable 30 amp fuse on board get one or 2 (i had a spare and for some reason it tested bad so now i have 2)

friends of ours couldn't understand why their Tag along was dead with a new battery. this was the culprit. reset and their trailer came to life on battery power.

Picked up a collection at Advanced Auto with multiples of every size I need except 1. Purchased a pack of 5 of the missing size and added to to box. Total cost less than $20. Can not drive from the deep woods to get them parts for that! Not to speak of the aggravation of not having a spare on hand.

Make sure you have 2 of each current rating You will use one to check the circuit and will probably blow it the second is used after you clear the problem.

Take an example of each type to an auto parts store. They will fix you up.
