Split Phase Inverter Recommendations

2021 XLR Boost with 50 amp service, only converter (5500 onan generator). Want to upgrade to split phase inverter/converter (50 amp service). No solar yet, 1 100ah battle born right now. I want quality but don't like to spend money on name for no reason. Also the existing converter is in a closed in area, can you do that with a inverter or does it get much hotter than a converter?

Only option I know of is the Victron Multiplus II 12/3000/120-50 2x120 (long name but it's important to get the right one). I just installed one and it is a great box for a 50A RV. It needs to go in a ventilated area.

Go-Power makes a 3000 watt inverter charger, too. Its a 120 volt split phase with load assist. Ive got one installed behind the rear wall where the original converter was mounted inside my 5th wheels basement but, there's good ventilation in there. Its also next to the automatic transfer switch so wiring was fairly easy. I bought mine from Amazon last year but its available from other sources. If you've got an onboard generator with an automatic transfer switch then installation should be fairly easy as long as you're using either the victron or the Go-Power then either one should feed your entire power panel. I recommend using 4/0 welding cable for the DC feed to inverter. Good luck with your project.
