Stiff 50 amp cord

My previous RV (not Forest River) had a 50 amp cord that was manageable even in below-freezing temperature. Our new RV (also not Forest River) came with a heavy duty cable that can't be straightened, and it takes two people to force it into a large storage tub. I laid it in the sun for a while, but it was still like wrestling an anaconda. It has a twist-lock connector at the RV end, and since it wants to stick out from the camper rather than bending to the ground, I'm concerned about the force it's putting on the receptacle. I'd like to know the brand and/or vendor of a reasonably flexible 50 amp twist-lock cable.
Thanks

I don't know make or brand, probably Camco. They make a pigtail so you don't have that stress at the outlet.

Friend of mine found a replacement cord that was lighter and more flexible and he is very happy with it. I think he may have found on Amazon. Later RJD

It's a drastic change, but I got a new cord when I switched to the SmartPlug:

Very flexible and I've been happy with it.

Here is an adapter, Twist lock on both ends..........male on the 90 degree end and straight on the female end.

Should solve your concern for about $65.

To "FROZEN"

I assume you need the 50amp cable. My trailer came with the heavy 50amp cable, but since I currently only have one AC unit, I only needed a 30amp cord. So I purchased one and now don't have to deal with the heavy cord and saving the 50amp cord in case I later install the 2nd AC unit.

Even with only one A?C unit the 50 amp allows you to power multiple appliances which would trip a 30 amp breaker, an example is the A/C and microwave, AC and hair dryer, etc.

If these limitations are nota problem for you , you have a good solution. If not, you might want to rethink your solution

Maybe just lucky. Never have had a tripped breaker....at least so far in 3+ years.
