Surge protector question

I have a Lexington GTS 255 with a problem with my surge protector. There are some times my model # 44260 surge protector will show a reverse polarity when hooking up to a power source that I know is good. It doesn't do it all the time. Right now I'm hooked up at my home. Is there any way to get it checked out or where to take it?

When you say known good source how did you test to ensure the source you were connecting to when the SP said reverse polarity was good? If its not doing it all the time I would very much suspect the connectors you are using or the source you are plugging into.

about 6 weeks or so there were a couple of posts about this. it turns out the claim was that the surge protector does not like adapters to needed to connect to the house receptacle. at least that was what the posters said. I don't know if I buy into that or not. but check the posts and see what they have to offer.

If your SP is hanging from the receptacle unsupported it maybe twisting the receptacle and causing issues.
Please post a picture of your hookup.
