Switches that do ???

1. What is the On/Off switch to the left of my thermostat for? Doesn’t seem to do anything when I flip it. Dealer doesn’t know either.

2. What is this charger looking thing for above my outlet in the main bedroom?

I believe the charger looking thing is for a Bluetooth speaker that you can purchase as an option. FR pre-wired the base in hoping for up-sales.
