Threaded battery posts are garbage.

I had to remove the batteries on my 31KQBTS to install the frame brackets for my Blue Ox WDH. Well an easy 15 minute job turned into a 90 minute nightmare. The batteries were in the way of torqueing the bracket bolts and had to be removed. Both negative posts must have been torqued too tight by the dealer because as I was loosening the nut they seized and the posts would just spin. Now I can't loosen or tighten the nuts. My only option is to cut the posts off with a hacksaw blade. After that I thankfully had the clamp on type terminals with threaded posts in the garage from my old motorhome. Frame brackets are on and 12vdc flows again.

But I have brand new batteries with posts cut off. Ugh.

I am taking the trailer in for service in October and am going to try and get the batteries replaced under warranty.

You can't really blame the post's design if a heavy-handed person over tightened them.
