TriMetric vs Victron vs ...

Which battery monitor are people using and why that one?

I know so little about these things (but learning) and I kind of like the Victron BMV-702 better than the TriMetric TM-2030. I also know there are many other units out there.

I'm waking up the RV for the year and looking at solar but need to start small and which starts with a battery monitor and batteries.

Thanks,

I like the idea that Victron BMV-702 has an app for Android. I have the Victron MPPT solar charger and like the android app. I can see history of lowest battery voltage, highest voltage, max watts from solar panel and max voltage from panels for the previous days. Will be getting the BMV-700 at some point.

I have used Trimetric units for years and they have done the job. I like the appearance of the Victron, the fact it can be used with a tracking app is a huge plus in my book. Either one is good. But with the new app system I might be swayed into putting that one in my newest camper.
