Upgrade existing battery monitor to Trimetric 2030

My TT came stock with a standard digital battery monitor. After upgrading my batteries and buying the trimetric 2030 battery monitor, I started looking around to see where to run wires/install the trimetric. I found a preinstalled shunt and What looks like all the wiring that is needed for the trimetric. Looking at the back of the stock battery monitor there are four wires going into the back of it. I’m wondering if I can take those four wires, cut and strip them and plug them into the back of the trimetric. Looking at the shunt, it looks like the white wire is from the ground/negative battery terminal and the red and white is on the power side with a fuse already just like the trimetric needs. Has anyone dealt with this or have any input on if this would work. This would be a heck of a lot easier than trying to run the new wires all the way to where the existing battery monitor is.

What you have posted a picture of is not a shunt but circuit breakers. None of that wiring can be repurposed for the Trimetric system. The wires to the back of your current voltmeter are simply +12 volt and ground. You will need to do a complete installation of the Trimetric shunt and display including running the necessary wiring between the two items.

Ok. the more I thought about it the more it wasn't making sense to me. I basically have everything set up minus running the wire and installing the actual meter. I'm just going to set it up in my master bedroom closet for now and re approach when it gets warmer.
