Rick,
I have a pair of OEM Deka DC-24 (75 AH each) that I have had for over 3 years now and boondocked more than 50% of my camping during that time.
I would love to get a pair of Trojan 12 volt batteries, but so far these just won't die. I do take very good care of them, though. My inverter is a 2400 watt modified sine inverter.
Not my first choice of battery and not my first choice of inverter (now that I know better), but both will not die so I can get better ones. The 2400 is WAY too much inverter (I would need 8 batteries to feed it) and needs to be "pure sine." A Pure sine" 1000 watt would be a much better choice for me.
