What’s this switch for ?
This is a 2 part question. Can anyone tell me what this toggle switch with a safety cover over it does ? An the artic pack switch?

The Artic Pack switch should be to the holding tank heater pads, that keep them from freezing if you are camping in below freezing temps. See this previous thread:

That toggle switch is a new one. Could it have been added by a previous owner? Maybe possibly added as an internal electric heating element switch for a Suburban SWDE model water heater? This is a common add by some owners.

I have never seen a covered toggle switch in an RV, those are usually for something like an ejection seat.

Well that would be cool especially if it connected to the passenger seat

That's not a factory switch. Some previous owner installed that.

The factory didn’t install the Artic sign, either… they would have spelled it Arctic.
Edit: I’ve been informed the factory might not have known how to spell Arctic a few years back!

Not sure what that switch is for on an RV but it is a common switch in a modern locomotive cab. On a locomotive it is used for emergency braking.

Switch
Used to launch missiles at the neighbor camping nearby, you know, the one that runs their generator past quiet hours or the one that keeps the music and TV blaring past quiet hours.

"those are usually for something like an ejection seat." AKA the "Mother in Law seat"
It might also be the "Self Destruct" switch....

I have an "Odd Job" switch in the armrest on my 2016 Jeep Cherokee to enable the electric power steering while towing to prevent "death wobble". This was a FCA aftermarket authorized and paid upgrade.

I installed a panic switch with a very loud 12v horn if we ever need it. Almost used it when we think we had a peeping tom in a KO# in Lubbock. Yeah I know, people think I'm a little weird with the numerous customized switches I've installed to be comfortable and safe in our 21DS.
As to the question of what it is, why not flip it on and see what happens? What's the worst that could happen?

Coming from (retired) from the defense and aerospace industry we would often use a covered switch like that for “Battle Short”. Engaging the switch would bypass all safety protocols so you could Charlie Mike (CM), i.e. “Continue Mission”.
