Whats an acceptable way of supplying inverter power to command centre
I'm trying to figure out a way of running power from the inverter in the front of my 2017 28rkx wildcat to hook into my control power fuse box of the trailer
The inverter , by having to be mounted near the batteries has left me trying to figure out a way of transferring inverter power to the trailer control panel, It's a 50 amp service trailer and would like to preserve that feature for later owners down the road
Kind of have the inverter picked out, just trying to figure out a way of moving the power to the control panel, my plan was to remove the hard plastic under body on the bottom of the trailer and run a wire through the cross members up to the control panel, thats the plan, but i still havent figured out how to even start removing the hard plastic as its curled around and attached to the floor some how
Once i get that part figured out i would like some knowledge on the proper way of stringing the cable, can i run a 6/3 soo cable supported with rubber grommets through the cross members, or do i use some nmd run inside conduit, and does it even have to be run within the under body, could it be as simple as a run of nmd inside some conduit supported along the bottom of the trailer outside the hard plastic under body, or maybe a chunk of tech cable in the same manner.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I've also thought about just running a 50 amp plug off the inverter and just plugging the trailer shore power directly into it while on inverter power, but i can see where that will have me plugging it back and forth between gen set and inverter on a daily basis, which isnt ideal.
Planned on using a Gopower IC-3000 as it has twin 50 amp 120v legs and will allow me to retain my original 50 amp shore power
Any advice will be greatly appreciated as i am capable of doing the job , but rather am not quite sure as how it should be done.
