Where is Mighty Cord made?

I got a generic answer from Valterra and MC themselves. Some blah blah about sourced components and suppliers..... Anyway, I specifically need a 15-50 amp adapter. I just want to know what the package says as to where it is made. If it says China, I’ll buy the one on Amazon that is a knock off for 1/3 of the price. Anyone know? Thanks!!

I don’t know where the item is “made”.

The blah blah blah was probably an explanation of why “made in America” is meaningless anymore. “Made in America” generally means that final assembly occurred in America. Other (very significant) parts of the process, such as obtaining raw materials and manufacturing parts and subsystems, happened in other countries.

An item that took one hour to manufacture may have had ten minutes of work done inside the US, yet still bear the “made in America” tag.

My only standard is not to buy “shipped from China”. Personal experience has taught me that it is not possible to count on when (or even whether) the item will arrive.

I recommend getting the least expensive product that will do the job adequately and have sufficient quality—regardless of where the item is “made”.

I appreciate that and am fully aware of how things are labeled in regards to final assembly. It is not quite as you say. There are laws that govern what % of materials and labor must come from the USA or its holdings to qualify as Made in the USA. That is a different tangent though.
My thing is that I will not buy a product made in China if there is another alternative available. I have done this for the better part of 20+ years. This is not a recent thing for me. If I have to buy something made in China it will be the cheapest thing that gets the job done or I will make it myself. Not this particular device, but I make hard parts for things. Off on another tangent... lol.
I just want to know what it says on the package.

Finally got an answer. Unfortunately made in China. So, I guess I'll buy the cheapest one.

I have a 50-30 short cord with the big Marinco plug. I then add a 30-15 adapter and all is good.
