Which is positive negative
This stuff only happens to me. Went to connect my battery back up and noticed I have 1 red wire and a white wire. On cars its balck (-) Red (+). On TT its supposed to be White (- or common) black (+) like home wiring. Of course I get a what ever you want to call it.

I'll have to crawl under and make sure. I assume white is negative and red positive.

If you are in doubt, follow the wires. If the white wire goes to the frame of the TT it is a ground. If the red wire goes to terminals, breakers or battery disconnect switch it is positive

Use a multimeter to be 100% sure if you can't follow wiring back to battery.

Quick way to find out. Break out your meter and ohm the wires to the trailer frame. Whichever wire (I'll bet the white one) reads 0 ohms is the negative. Once you figure it out, wrap the last 6 or so inches of the ground with black electrical tape so in the future there is no question.

Check your frame around where the battery box is, after trying to figure out which wire was which this spring, I finally noticed a sticker saying which one was positive/negative. Not sure if all trailers have this or not, but it sure was helpful.

If the battery has round posts you will notice that one has a larger diameter that the other, the large one is positive and the smaller one is negative.

When all else fails read the installation instructions for the back up camera. When I installed a Peak back up camera the red lead was positive and the white lead was negative. Would assume that is also the case for you.

I always check with a multimeter. If not, you assume the assembler did everything correctly. I am not willing to put my faith in that. Check for yourself.

If you use this method, make sure you are not connected to shore power ( converter on) as measuring resistance on between the "+" side and ground could damage or destroy the meter.

Every one I've ever owned is white to negative [ground] and red to positive.

The fastest way is what DDC said, the positive post on your battery is always a bit bigger in diameter than the negative post.

Thanks. So having a red and white wire is not shotty wiring just another way for a certain manufactures. I will crawl under and follow wires to thier source before I reconnect battery. Wish I looked when disconnecting but it was getting dark and just pulled them quick didn't even notice. I will then tag them so there is no confusion

Making an assumption is not helpful. I have found different color schemes in my MH. I suggest (1) using a multimeter or tracing back wires if possible as previously stated and (2) if you don't know for certain, don't respond.

I would never trust the wiring color scheme to be standard on an RV. I have seen too many that were completely counterintuitive . I would always trace the assumed ground wire to the frame connection. It is usually not far away.

I have never seen red being anything else but positive regardless of voltage or application.
