Question Will hardwired surge protector void the warranty

I want to install a Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C in my new Wildwood. I plan on installing it myself (13 year Electronics Tech for the Coast Guard).

Will a hardwired surge protecter void my warranty?

Do you want an official answer, or just our guesses/opinions?

I would think anytime you mess with or install something that wasn't installed at the factory or by the dealer will not be looked at favorably.

Why would it unless you wire it incorrectly and burn the trailer to the ground?
But then the warrantee won't be worth anything anyway.
