My son bought a 2019 Salem 32RLDS a few weeks ago. He is using it as a primary residence so he has his home computer, electronics the trailer. He is utilizing the washer and dryer circuits for some of his larger amperage items such as a space heater and his computer (he does not have a washer or dryer). My question is what gauge wire is this trailer wired with (lights and outlets)? He has been told that he can replace the 15 amp breaker with a 20 amp but I have advised him against it unless the electrical wiring will support the breaker change.

If the breaker is 15a the wiring is almost surely rated for the same.

The ONLY way to know for sure is remove the distribution center cover and look at the wiring connected to the breaker he wants to change to 20a and see what gauge it is.

We are all merely speculating and internet guessing.

If I were a betting man I'd bet that if it has a 15 amp breaker, it has #14 AWG wiring, BUT 5Picker is completely correct, the only way to know for sure is to access the wiring and look at it.

I do know that my unit also has 15 amp breakers for the outlets and is also wired with 14 gauge wiring. 14 gauge wire is not capable of 20 amp service to the outlets.
