Wolf Pup batteries need help!

A little help would be appreciate, I'm still learning.
I want a light wt. generator or inverter to recharge two 6 Volt batteries on my 2021 Wolf Pup 16BHS. I found a Firman 1300W (1050W running) generator at Costco online. Will this small generator recharge my batteries every morning after the fridge has run them down?
And would a larger inverter/generator recharge batteries faster.
I plan to use my 30Amp shore power cord with 120 adapter plugged into the generator.
I will only need enough 12V battery power to power lights, awning, water pump, and the 10cf fridge (12V only-no propane).
On sunny days, the 50W roof solar panel should help a little.
Thanks in advance.

That is enough generator to recharge your batteries. Make sure your water heater is on propane.

Did you use the same wiring that the juice pack uses?

I would recommend a 2000w inverter generator, instead of a 1000w one. They don't cost much more.

First...you have 220amphours or so of battery which means they can ACCEPT about 50 amps of DC charging current.
And if you charge when 1/2 full as you should...then you'll be putting back in 110amphours,

So first question to ask/anwswer is how big is the charge converter in your wolf pup. If around 50 amps...you're all set on the internal charging end.
Next you have to look at the generator of call it 1000 running WATTS so since this is 120V output...means current of 8.3 AC AMPS...or 83 DC amps ...more than the 50DC amps you need for charging but not a whole lot more.
So the answer is yes the little genny will work if you're not gonna be using it for other stuff while charging AND you might be better off with something a bit larger that can run other stuff like a coffee pot while you wait for hours for the batts to charge.

As to the advice on a 100 watt solar panel...know that on sunny days you will get 25 amp hours out of it...and you know you need 100 when you need to charge. So get 400 WATTS of panels or don't count on one for much.

Get one that will run everything

Run, fridge, inverter, AC, etc.

Closed frame inverter generators easily overheat and burn out, don’t ask how I know. This is only slightly louder.

never have i used 100 amp hours up in one day. so 100 watt panel may work just fine if you are not staying inside all day.

Only if you can live on 25amp hours a day...and it is sunny 4 days in a row would you be able to replace the 100amp hours that were used over 4 days now that your battery is otherwise half full and must be recharged. Even at 25 amps use a day which matches the amp output of the solar panel IN SUN...you cant REPLACE what you lose on a rainy cloudy day...and the battery ramps down and damage is done.
Not many can live on 25 amp hours a day. That's about 2 hours of TV and Computer and that 25 amp hours is dependent on sun all day AND no shading. BUT is is possible in the right place I suppose.
I'd advise getting a Victron monitor first to see exactly how little I use in an average day...and the monitor will also tell you every minute what you have coming in and going out and how long you can last before charging at this rate...It will also tell you when the batts are fully charged again because undercharging murders batteries. Just as over discharging does. It does little good to get a panel AND still need a generator IMO...though if you can afford both...you'll have a bit more peace and quiet than with generator alone.

Never such an issue, for the 17 years I've been on various RV forums.
My Honda 2000i has worked perfectly for the past 16 years and NEVER overheated.
And that generator you pictured, is going to be way louder than a good inverter generator. Anytime a generator manufacturer doesn't provide the noise level rating, it's guaranteed to be LOUD. Wen doesn't provide any decibel rating on their webpage for that generator.

We have a timeshare houseboat at Lake Powell. We used and misused a Honada 2000 at Lake Powell (often over 100 degrees) with blowing sand and rain. I'm amazed at how well it held up until another owner spilled gas on it and started it up without letting it dry. I'd get there in August and change the oil and it would look black as diesel oil. But it still ran great and started easily every time.

I bought one for my camper, but I have a 100 watt panel on the roof, and another portable 100 watt panel that I can face towards the sun. I don't take the generator anymore. I also live in the SW.

The OP implied that he has a 12v fridge. That is a whole different ballgame. I'd recommend a 2200 watt. At low altitude, and with soft start, you can probably run your AC on it.

I recommend NOT using your 25’ or greater 30 amp shore power cable, length wastes power. Get a short 30 to 15/20 amp adapter that fits your TT. And a 12ga extension cable that is close to the distance needed from generator to TT.
IF you plan on the generator being 25’ away, disregard the above, the thicker 10ga is better for less line loss than 12ga.

Second the Renogy boost. I used them for a DIY solar install and their service was fantastic.

Thomas ho, what type and how many batteries do you use?

My very old Honda 2000 has been working for years, almost always at half power. I use it to charge my two six volt batteries until their at capacity each day. I did install a meter so that I know the battery voltage level.

There are some small, quiet ( inverter) dual fuel or pure propane models you may want to consider. Propane stores perfectly, you already transported it, and burns cleaner.
