1998 Flagstaff (Model 228) - Bearing kit identification

Hello everyone,

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, I just have not been able to locate it.

I am preparing to replace the bearings on my wheels (I believe the orignal ones are still on the trailer) I think they are likely due.

I believe this is a 3500 Lbs axle, please if someone can confirm.

My questions are as follows:

I've located the following bearing kit for a 3500 Axle Bearing Kit, can you confirm whether this is correct?

Or can someone provide the correct sizing information for a replacement kit including new seals?

I also found the links to the axle manuals in the documentation section of this site but once again can't confirm which is the correct one.

Anyone's help is appreciated, thank you and be safe

If you can still read the Part Number on the axle tag, as well as manufacture's name, and get the part numbers for THAT axle's bearings go ahead and order/purchase ahead.

Best and often quickest way is to pull one hub and remove bearings and seal. Drive out the races (cup) also. Part numbers are almost always etched or stamped on the edge of race and cone of bearings and molded into seal rubber. Just about any auto parts or store like Coastal, Tractor Supply, etc will have them available.

Or, there's always Amazon.

The latter method assures you you'll get the right parts the first time.
