2024 Wolf Pup 16FQ Tire Stem

I apologize in advance. This is my first camper so I am very new at this. My tires have a green cap on the valve stem that says 65 in yellow numbers. I assume that is the required psi as it is not written on the tire that I could find. When I start to take the cap of of the stem air starts to leak out. That don't seem right to me. The Owners Manual does not mention anything about this. Can someone please help me out. I am afraid that if I take the caps off to check the psi or add air all of the air will just leak out. Thank you so much in advance!!

If you have the valve cap I am thinking of, then These type valve caps that shows a pressure or lack there of, press down on the spring loaded valve core, thus keeping it open.

If you unscrew the cap about 3 rotations very quickly, the spring should snap the valve core back shut, sealing it off.

If it doesn't then, the core may be bent.

Being in the tire business, I hate these kind of valve caps. They cause a lot of leaks.

If Wolf Pup is trying to say this is a pressure monitoring system in their sales literature.........

A pic would greatly help so I can see exactly what you have., to see if it is something similar to this.

I had to look, they are only calling them tire pressure indicators, which is what they are. I still would take them off and just put regular valve caps on them, before you do get stuck with a leaking valve core somewhere.

Thank you for your response. Attached is the requested pic. So I should be able to just unscrew these caps all the way off and the air will stop leaking and I can put regular caps on them?
