Any brand other than Michelin?

We have a 2016 Forest River Georgetown with Michelin 255/80 R22.5 tires. They were built in October 2014 and I feel it is time for new. Anybody have any ideas other than Michelin? They are terribly expensive.

The Bridgestone R250F 265/75R22.5 are supposed to be a close match and suitable as an alternative to your Michelins, but I’m no tire guy. That’s just what I was able to find with a little bit of surfing.

cooper tires. we have Sothern Tire here in north / central Texas. save about 25.00 each over other dealers. see if E Custom Hitch has them on there web site. they are22.5s hit the truck dealers EXAMPLE--Speed co.

Maxxis tires are also well regarded on these forums. I put 4 new ones on my 5th wheel this summer after a blowout on castle rocks. I am pretty happy with them

Does Sailun make a tire in your size?

I've never been a fan of Michelin tires. I've had too many issues of hydroplaning with them. We put Sailun tires on our 2016 Cedar Creek 38FL6 almost a year ago and love them.

We replaced the Michelins on our Georgetown with Toyos, on the advice of a dealer that handles both. We have been quite happy with them so far.

I just put 2 toyo tires on 2015 Bounder at royer tire shop in joplin mo. It cost me $352/ tire

We have Continental on our F450, Goodyear on the Mobile Suites, and Michelin on the Forest River. I'm not looking for cheap, what I'm interested in is the actual model and size of a tire that replaces that particular size tire I referenced. Yes, I've had Sailuns on a large Raptor we had and they were great. But I need the PARTICULR REPLACEMENT. Thanks.

I would never buy Michelins, they are the worst tires on the roads. Nice ads terrible tires.

Well I got the Michelins. Most happy with them and a noticable improvement in driving performance over my OEM Goodyears.
I had VERY few choices in my 19" tire size on a smaller G'Town chassis. The BEST deal I found on Michelins was to JOIN the FMCA to get their Michelin member deal. Even including the FMCA dues...the Michelins were cheaper than I could get elsewhere.

Now we put over 10,000 miles a year on our Georgetown and much of it at 70mph highway speeds as we do our annual tour or the snowbird run...so I didn't want to compromise or take a chance on anything other than a brand I know and trust.
If my use was more modest and my tires AGED out before the WORE out...I think I'd be more inclined to go with the less expensive brands that still get good ratings.

Michelin are overpriced and over rated. I have had really good luck with Hankook. I am slowly changing all my drive tires on the trucks out to that. BFGoodrich on the steering axles.

I'm not a Michelin fan like many others. I have them on my DP but will probably go to toyo. If they are as good on MH as they've been on my cars I'll be very happy. Lincoln puts Michelins on all they're cars and I hate the. IMHO they're overpriced, not a great handling tire that wear out way too quickly. I'm changing mine out this week and they just made 36,000 miles out of the 50,000 mile warranty on my hybrid.
