Axle end caps

I have what appears to be a metal disc instead of a rubber axle end cap.

Anyone have trouble getting them off? Anyone replace them with a rubber end cap? Where'd you get the rubber ones?

Thx.

Does the axle have metal end caps or does the center round hubcap have a metal end cap? On my Flagstaff there are metal covers on the hubcaps but when you pull off the wheel the axle has a rubber cap.

Maybe yours is the same? Those metal looking center caps on the hubcap are confusing and on mine look like you would destroy them getting them off. Could you post a photo?

That's exactly what I have. Thanks! Didn't want to break something without checking here.
