Bottoming out

We have a Sunseeker 2860DS. Whenever there is a little dip in the road or entrance way, the skid bars scrape. Anyone have this issue? How do you deal with it?

Overloaded?

A trip to the cat scales answers that.

The payload thing about rv’s always floors me. Reading history about payloads and trucks would be funny! Today it is very difficult to understand.

Same model #. Normal dips in the roadway shouldn't cause a problem. Exiting or entering a driveway can. On exiting, try turning quicker so the rear end swings over.
My driveway is moderately steep and I will turn right on exiting so as to swing my rear over quicker even if my destination is to the left, I simply make 2 additional right turns to get back on track.

On entering, approach at angle, not straight on, this will also swing the rear end over at an angle. Same strategy for directional approach, I will normally enter my driveway from the same direction as I exited, even if this means a bit more around local roads to achieve.

Other than that you could be over weight. Look for ways to carry less weight.

Sure sounds normal to me. I've drug the rear of the coach in places I thought it never would. If the front is climbing and the rear wheels are at the lowest part of the dip it will drag. There is a lot of overhang on the rear of these units with the rear wheels as far forward as they are. You just have to learn where you can go and where you can't. Sometimes when you are in a bad spot that you can't avoid you just have to let it drag, clench your teeth and hope for no damage. Most of us have been in those spots and don't let it happen again. Hopefully.
