Bought New Tires for the Silverback

I limit the OEM tires that come with trailers to 4 years or 25,000 miles whichever comes first. We are entering our 4th season with this trailer and the trip to Gulf Shores this year put the tires close to the 25,000 mile mark so I replaced them this past weekend with Maxxis 8008 tires. Yikes, NOT CHEAP!! Total cost with taxes, balancing, and all the other associated fees was $777.74. Yikes again! I bought these at the only tire store in my area that had enough maneuvering room for the truck and trailer.

I do like that the max load of each Maxxis tire is 3420 pounds and the manufacture date on each tire was the 7th week of 2015. Hopefully I will get as many trouble free miles from these tires that I did from the MasterTrack tires (so called “china bombs”) that came with our Silverback fifth wheel.
