Brake module in TV

I picked up my new TT just over 2 weeks ago. The trailer brakes worked great. I settled on about 2.5 on the indicator.

That said, today when I was going to work, the indicator was flashing 2.5, but the TT is not attached! It used to have just a red dot on the indicator, now it flashes 0.0 or goes to 2.5.

I was simply wondering if there could be a problem, or if this is normal behavior. This is my first time with electric brakes.

Which trailer brake controller do you have?

I'll have to look. Be going to work here in a bit, so I'll post that later.

It is made by Curt. Today, when returning home from work, it was working as it did originally - just a red dot on the display. Maybe the fact that earlier, I was driving in heavy rain?

Rain should have no effect unless there is a problem with outside connections.

Who install this for you and did they install the wire harness?

American RV in Evansville, In. They did the harness 7 years ago for my Rockwood PUP. The brake controller was an add on when I purchased the TT.

I see.

I would take it back and have them recheck their work where they tied in to the wiring harness.
