Driving Vibration

I have some sort of vibration in my chasis. It is a Chevy model for a Sunseeker 2860DS. None of the Chevy dealers will handle it because it is an RV. I am struggling getting someone to look at it with less than 5,00 miles and 6 months! It is similar to wheel balance vibration but no exactly. since it is a dooley rear wheel design I often wonder if the wheels are not aligned together evenly. thats just a guess not being a mechanic. Does any one have an idea what to do??? I even asked the Forest River corporate office and they were no help. I just want it looked at under waranty

Not sure about the Chevrolet but with my Ford MH I called the 800 warranty number and they had a RV division that found a Ford truck dealer that took care of my chassis issues. Hope this helps.

You may not have anything wrong in the chases it may be in the tires with tread separation especially if it occurs at the same speed. Have the tires looked at by a good tire guy. Had that with my class A

I had a bad vibration issue with my MH. First went to a Goodyear truck tire dealer which could not fix the problem by balancing the tires. Ford sent me to a medium truck dealer which found four out of round rims and then found two defective tires. This took care of my vibration all under warranty. I then took the MH to a truck alignment shop for a front end alignment. It drives so much better now.

You can check for out-of-round tires and rims yourself by just jacking up one wheel at a time and rotating the tire by hand. Also inspect the full tire tread at the same time.

Sometimes having someone drive next to you when it happens will allow them to actually see wobble or shake.

Complete BS that your dealers won't look at it. Would they not look at any chassis if it were, for example, a dump truck, or a fire truck, or a bus, or a tow truck? My dodge and Mercedes dealers had no problem working on my Solera. That issue is covered under your Chevy warranty, not FR.

If nothing else take it to a reputable tire shop to have the wheels and tires checked for balance, as well as to ensure all lug nuts are torqued properly!
