Dually pressure variation?

I have a MBS 2401 with dual tires. I'm wondering how much variation in tire pressure should be allowed between the tires on either side of the chassis? I usually see several pounds between right and left sides, but how about the tires on the same side? How much variance is too much?

For me 2 psi difference is usually the max I see. Any more and I get nervous.
