Electronic Trailer Brake Controller

Hi, folks,
Thought I would install an electronic trailer brake controller in our 2018 Forest River Georgetown (30X3)(Ford Chassis). I looked under the dash where the plug was supposed to be and only found a small bundle of 4 or 5 wires that were taped up on the end. Think maybe these are the controller wires? If so, kinda irritating. Thanks in advance.

You trailer brake pigtail should be four wires, blue, white, red and black.
You will need an adapter between the pigtail and the controller.

This is actually how they come from the manufacturer... I purchased the Prodigy P3. Great controller!

Your new controller will come with a pig tail plug (on side is loose wires and the other the clip that goes into controller). You will need to read the directions and match the colors as indicated. It is actually pretty easy to pull off... Did mine in about 20 minutes, including triple checking my work.

Now, if you don't have the factory "pre-wiring" for a brake controller you will have a long and complicated process ahead of you. Unless of course you are in the business, which I guess not since you are here...

Good luck!
