First Oil Change

We took delivery of a new 3050s Sunseeker with the Triton V10 in it. The Coach has 1000 miles on it and we'll be taking a trip to Myrtle Beach in early September. This will be about a 2000 mile round trip for us.

Should I change the Oil and Filter before we leave for our trip. Not sure what the recommendation is although I'd think it be around 7500.

My thoughts are change it when we get home before she gets put away for a long winters nap.

3000 miles on an oil change is not a problem. It is best to change it before you store it as you said you planed. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks.. That was my thought process.. Just wasn't sure if they had a break in oil change recommendation.

As I've always done with boats we've owned in the past and a sports car, change the oil before they're put away for the winter. I'll change my oil and filter when we get home from our trip.

Follow the severe service schedule in the Ford owners manual. Not 7500 miles.
