Floor Jack

Hello everyone,
I am looking for advice on the size of floor jack to purchase in order to change a flat tire on my 2000 Forrest River Salem 27RKS fifth wheel. Also, can any of you recommend a specific brand? Thank you.

Can't beat Harbor Freight for price. And they have all levels of bottle and floor jacks.

How heavy is your 5th wheel?

Unless you get a honkin' big professional grade floor jack, you won't lift much more than about 5000-6000 lbs.

Floor jacks are long and heavy and hard to roll around in dirt or gravel as well.

You'd be better served with a bottle jack unless you are always on concrete

I use a low profile 12 ton bottle jack from Harbor Freight. Keep in mind... you need to be able to get it in place with the tire flat.

I carry a 20 ton bottle jack and pad to go under it. I also carry a small shovel just incase I have to dig down for the bottle jack to fit. I agree with 5picker on the floor jack.

Thank you all for your comments. I sure am glad I asked. I will be going to Harbor Freight and purchase a bottle jack for sure.
