ford f53 chassis air cleaner replacement

changing the air filter is a ten minute job.
1- 5/16 nut driver or fairly large flat screw driver to loosen air tube clamp a good bit (the air tube is the 3" tube exiting the top of air cleaner).
2- release 3 front clamps.
3- lift up front of cover and slide forward to release from rear tabs and air tube.
4- lift up cover enough to remove and replace filter.
5- slide cover towards rear to engage rear tabs and air tube.
6- replace the rest.
good luck all!

Yup exactly. Did it one month ago step by step.

You just forgot to mention how restricted the access is to the entire engine compartment depending on your manufacturers engine hood design and hinges.

Geesh.

Not even all Georgetown engine hoods open the same way or the same amount to gain access. Compare other units whenever you see another GT at a campground.

Other brands....same issue.....different design and hingework.

If you want a tough one under the GT hood, just try adding oil. The top of the filler tube is about 5" under the top of engine compartment. Any ideas on how to add oil without pouring it all over the place?

I agree. I use a short funnel. slowly pour. you would think that the designers had never used their products.
