I bought my GY endurance tires from Discount Tire Direct. Absolutely great to deal with. Had a little trouble finding someone to mount and balance them. The two local wal-marts both had tire mounting machine/labor problems. Sam's club ( of which I am a member ) refused to do it because I didn't buy them from them. Took them to the next closest wal-mart and they did it. It costs a little more if you don't buy the tires from them. IIRC it was a little over $20 per tire to mount and balance.

Just had a set and spare of Goodyear Endurance 255/75R15 balanced and installed from DT. Sales guy said if they show 1 or 2 in stock or out of stock to just place order and DT will pull from other stores to fill orders.

I actually went on eBay and got a brand new Goodyear Endurance tire as a spare to my other Goodyear’s. I paid maybe 10 bucks more than regular retail. Otherwise, I would have had to wait for more than 3 months!

I ordered from Discount Direct website....I ordered Nitto tires (not cheap)! I'm sure the ups guy hated me! Brought them to a local shop would mounted them for me, not expensive.
Within a few months the tires, one at a time started have chunks of tread come off of them! It happened to all 4. Luckily Discount Tire in town said they are affiliated and helped me out with replacing all of them. SOoooo bad batch? Out of date? I don't know but it was a hassle to say the least!
Good luck!!

Much better tire after 3 yrs with the carlise picked up a nail went to replace all four but could not get at the time and put on the endurance which has also been good . i would choose either one over the hurc brand

There are still plenty of GY Endurance tires out there. No problems getting them.

Hercules 901's just came out a year ago, only come in F and G rating.

The 901's are not typical RV trailer tires.

My closest Discount Tire is about 4 hours away, and they have limited amount of Endurance’s in stock. I checked Discount Tire Direct last week and they showed a back order so I was going to order from the store just now and decided to check Discount Tire Direct again just for sh!ts and giggles…… and now they show availability. Ordered them immediately, and was able to save myself a trip to the store now.

ST225/75/R15 btw for anyone looking for them.

Which load range did you get, D, or E? After all the great info I've gotten here I'm seriously considering the Carlisles, or maybe the Maxxis, If I find a really good deal on them.

E range.

I was also seriously considering the Maxxis (read lots of Maxxis vs Endurance reviews) but the unknown verifiable speed rating scared me. I emailed Maxxis asking what their recommendation/max speed was and I never received even an generic acknowledgment email from them. I take that as they aren’t very serious about selling their tires and having good customer service so I chose not to go with them if I was able to get the GE’s.

The GY Endurance are worth waiting for. Maxxis is not much, if any better than CR.

The 16 in maxxis are 4 pounds heavier per tire than GY endurance.
I have over 20k on mine without issue and I am replacing them next week. They are 6 years old.
The maxxis side walls are stiffer than the gy.
Compare them side by side and decide for yourself.

Like lesptr, I too would like to know why you think the Maxxis are not much better than CR's. Did you have a bad experience with one?

I would say that the GY 16s are vary compatible to the Maxis as weight and side wall stiffness. Its what I have on my new camper and I also had them on my other camper but they where only 15. Later RJD

BB Wheels

Tried to order 4 GY Endurance tires from BJ's.com in July 2021 for my 5er but my first try came back canx from BJ's after a few days. Tried again but the same thing happened. Canx after a few days on order. Ended up calling BJ's to find out why the order kept being canx'd. The BJ's rep let me know it was a mistake and they would take down the advertisement as no GY Endurance tires were available. The website said they had them but as it turned out they did not.

Still looking for GY Endurance, I came across BB Wheels website. Found the tires and put them on order. Called BB Wheels the next day to make sure they had the tires and received the order and they said yes they will be shipping them out the next day. While on the phone with BB Wheels I asked how many GY Endurance tires they had because they were hard for me to find, and he said BB Wheels had about 700+ GY Endurance tires. Anyway my tires arrived by the end of that week in great shape. Got them mounted and installed.
