Goodyear Endurance Tires
We have 30k tow miles and six seasons on the OEM Constancy LY 188's on our 2015 21SS Roo. No problems, and that includes a run up to Ak and back from Michigan.
But we feel as if we're tempting fate, so we've decided to replace them with a set of Goodyear Endurance tires.
I've read enough to believe that these are a good tire at a fair price. But things change. Does anyone have any recent experience with them that might change our minds?
Thanks!

16,000 miles no issues....I would recommend them and will buy them again.

Went with them last year on our 2014 21SS...love them so far. I even went up 1 size to 215/75/14. X-chocks still fit fine, had to shave about 1/2" off Anderson leveler though. I highly recommend them.

I would be very leary of running trailer tires this long or far. I would age them out at no more than three years just to be on the safe side, sooner if needed. Surely your trailer was starting to have sway issues, etc?

I'm on my second set of Endurance tires (first set aged out) and the tread depth is not as deep as on other ST tires.
Just an observation.

I ran Endurance for almost two years with no issue. My son in law and daughter had a endurance blow a couple weeks ago. He wasn't sure when it happened as he did not discover until he got home. The side walls were still intact and not damage to the fender or skirting around it. We purchased a new 5vr in January and ran the Castle Rocks until yesterday. I had Hercules H-901 F load Range 12 Ply installed. I could tell a huge difference just towing from installer back home. I think I am going to like theses tires.

I also have 10,000 miles so far on my GY endurance and am very happy with them.
6-7 years is the time most tire manufactuers suggest to replace them.
safe travels

I also had the OEM Constancy tire on my 15’ Heritage Glen and never had an issue. They were 7 years old when I recently replaced them with the new Hankook Vantra tires. I only replaced due to age as they still looks great, but didn’t want to chance it.

Yes, I agree. Makes me wonder how long they are going to last before being worn out on tread depth.
It seems to be a robust tire for sure. Much stronger sidewalls so likely better in the wind; more stable. The downside of that is a rougher ride. We notice things move around more in the trailer due to bouncing with the Endurance tires.

I agree initial tread depth is a bit lacking, but overall they're getting good reviews. There is a supply chain issue and they're hard to find.

Not a bit… But we have a Husky CTS hitch and an F-150 with sway control. The trailer tracks hot, straight, and normal.

I guess it has been almost 4 years since the Goodyear Endurance ST tire made it's debut? I have seen several threads in this forum of failures of these tires. Often the OP never provides in-depth details surrounding the failure and we're left to wonder. Any tire that's abused will ultimately fail.
Latest failure reported from September 2021:

I have about 30393 miles in 4.5 years. I had my first blow out this August (2021).
The tread flung off like the tire had melted. It was a hot summer day in the 100's. The highway was littered with truck and trailer tire treads just like the one from my tire.
Time for a new set.

Plus forums tend to attract folks with a complaint. Even your favorite restaurant will give you a bad meal eventually if you dine there often enough.

20,000 + miles will be 5 years old next year...will replace with same. My guess, tread would be good for another 10,000 + miles at this point.

I have never ran a trailer tire so long that the tread wears out. Thats very hard to do on a towed vehicle. I usually age mine out at about three years and the tread is still plenty deep but the sidewalls usually have dry rot cracks. Old trailer tires are not worth the risk.

We have three years on our Endurance L/R E tires. The tires made a huge good difference on how the trailer tows.

I was told last week from a Discount Tire store that Discount Tire bought the “rights” and remaining stock of Goodyear Endurance tires from Goodyear for the rest of 2021. As of right now they have something like 4000 tires on hand. Now trying to get those tires….. headaches. (I bought from Discount Tire Direct so I could have them shipped to me, and it was a hassle for three weeks. Finally called the closest store, 4 hours away, and they said “Sure, when do you want to come and get them, we’ll have some shipped to the store in a few days and you can come anytime and get them.”)
