Help today leaf springs broke/fell off

leaf springs on passenger broke/fell off my FR 2017 Surveyour 251rks TT. Trailer is sitting on tires. Cannot move RV. Nearest RV Dealership is 174 miles. There are no mobile RV repair services. Spent all day Saturday trying to get a flat bed to tow. No luck. AAA and Farmers cannot find a tow service. Cost estimates for a tow are $1-2k or more. Cannot find parts. Lippert will open Monday. Has anyone dealt with a situation like this?

Where is the trailer?

Also look for trailer (as in cargo / utility) sales and service, dealerships, etc. They may not sell RVs, but there is a very good chance they can get or have a leaf spring you can use. They may even have road service.

Replacing a leaf spring is usually not difficult and doesn't take much time, providing the hangers are not damaged. Even then, new hangers are not dificult either, requires a welder.

The leaf spring is a 1750lbs 3 piece 24 inch... the smallest I can find is a 26 inch. The leaf spring part number from Forest River build sheet is 0045-004309981. Having trouble finding this part number. Pinedale WY

NAPA can often times get the springs overnight . need length, weight of axle , number of springs in the pack . replace spring bolts at the same time . simple job if you have the parts . I had to rear springs break was staying near Memphis on my way to FL found a warehouse in memphis that i found from amazon and was able to pick up 4 new springs went up from the 4400 lbs rated axle springs to the 5200 . load stays the same . been a couple yrs and so far so good .

OP’s issue may be that he has the Lippert EZ-Flex suspension system. Due to the added shackle the leaf may be shorter than a standard leaf.

Are you sure about the 24"? Most the ones I've been around are 25 1/4"

I got my last replacement springs from Southwest Wheel, but I only see a 4 leaf 1750lb spring on their website. There shipping was pretty fast.

To get it to repair shop or a better location to work on it.pull that wheel and tire off and chain the axle up or put block on top axle then chain axle so it cant walk back and forth leaving wheel and tire on axle.

X2 on the block on the axle. Block it up with some wood. Secure it with some hefty straps a d go slow. I've done stuff like that before. It's a little unnerving but if you take your time it can work.

Dalford see pic of broke leaf

See pic of broken axle I removed from trailer. It’s 24 inches middle of eye to middle of eye. Napa has a 25 inch leaf spring. Will it work? I have the Lippert Equal-Flex.

I'm w/ Thomas Ho-RV dealers will be no help- a stock trailer-welding shop is who you need-they should be able to help w/ towing & parts as well. In my state a good one was found by goggling Alignment & Trailer Repair.

This is what Lippert lists for a 3 leaf 1750lb 24". It looks like 23.12" is actual eye to eye length.

I would beef up the springs since you have to do this. The manufacturers usually give you the bate minimum. When this happened to me the insurance comoany said the trailer was overloaded.
