No brakes - Columbus 320RS -2013

I have less than 200 miles on my new 2013 320RS Columbus and it has no brakes. Last week my Ford dealer replaced the brake controller but I still don't have brakes. When I apply the brakes I sometime get a pulsing of the brakes, but I can't lock up the trailer. I have tried setting my brake controller at 5-6-7-8-9 and 10 but nothing. Seems like I've never had brakes because I've always had a problem stopping. I have an appointment to drop it off at the dealer on Wednesday but does anybody have any suggestions?

The trailer brakes may simply need to be adjusted?

Have to diagnose whether power is getting to trailer connector from tv, then from there on.

When brakes are applied, you can hear clicking/tick sound in the axles area, I can't pinpoint it, but you can't hear the brakes moving or being applied. I would think you would hear something move when they are applied.

Is the Columbus electric or electric over hydraulic? If electric, the click you are hearing is normal as all you are doing when the trailer is not moving is energizing the magnets in the drum which make that click noise when they contact the drum surface. The brakes will not apply unless the wheels are turning so the only way to test this is to jack the trailer up to get the wheels off the ground and spin them then apply the TV brakes and see if the wheel will stop. I would suspect you brakes are really out of adjustment though.

Pull the emergency brake cable that should lock the brakes up. If you don't hear them then it could be a power problem. If it makes a noise but you can still move the trailer it is a adjustment. Good LUCK
