Oil filled hubs

Has anyone heard of retro fitting hubs on tt to oil filled hubs. I've had a dual axle boat trailer with oil filled hubs since 2005 and have had no problems. Just change oil once a year.

I've never seen those before but I did find them on etrailer. Dexter makes a bunch of different ones. I'd expect if you found a set that was dimensionally correct for your spindles and brakes it would work fine.

Have you had any issues with leaks over the years? I prefer oil lubrication to grease and if I ever need to redo my axles, I really like this idea.

Looks like Dexter only makes oil filled for 5500# and higher axles. Still like the idea. When I eventually upgrade in going to ask about this.

I've only had to replace 1 seal since 2015

That's because oil filled hubs tend to be larger than the standard cup and cone, grease lubed bearings on the smaller axles.
