Power tongue jack switch issues?

Hi!
A newbie here.
We have our first TT, a 2017 Wildwood Heritage Glen 24RKHL.
We bought it used, from a couple that felt it was too small and upgraded. They were first time owners, too.

When I picked up the trailer in May 2018, the raise / lower switch malfunctioned and we had to crank the hitch by hand. I got the trailer home and popped out the switch, it fell apart in my hand. This is a RAM 3500 tongue jack.

It seems the rocker pins that catch the housing are short and the plastic housing warps out then the contact pins fall out of place. I would like to buy another switch in the event I need it. My local RV place didn’t have the part but if I bring in the switch...

Is this common with electric jacks or just unique to RAM?

Thank you!
Sad that a switch that goes for $44 is such junk...

Have a great day!
