In case others have my same unit and were wondering, I just tried the Trailer Aid Plus on my Freedom Express 192 RBS, and it worked great. I have tandem axles with leaf spring suspension with the original ST205/75R14 tires on there. I think had I purchased the original Trailer Aid it would not have given me sufficient clearance, but with the Plus model it was just right.
You’ll also note I put leveling blocks behind the Trailer Aid Plus in case I backed up too far; I didn’t want it to fall off the ramp hard. It didn’t, but that seemed like a prudent step to take.
I’m about to take my first really long trip, from Annapolis to Tampa, and so I wanted to practice before I had to do it for real on busy I-95. Hopefully I’ll never need this, but better safe than sorry.
While checking, I also discovered 7 of the 20 lugs nuts were loose - clearly it came that way from the factory. I should have checked them sooner, I know, but at least I know I’m good to go now.
