Road Armor Trail Air Stabilizers

Hello, I have a 21 Riverstone Legacy 42fskg. It was purchased new and has factory axles and suspension. I have noticed on my 2 front Stabilizers that the center bolt going through has no washer or nut on them. The rear Stabilizers have a washer and nut on them. I have contacted Lippert and asked over the phone about this and after a little back and forth (and not sure if he really understood) what I was talking about, he said it was normal. What concerned me was that he asked if I had stock suspension from the factory (which I do) and he said well thats the eay it's supposed to be. It is a triple axle toy hauler and the interior pieces are a little different, but it doesn't make sense to me. Would anyone have any idea if this is correct?

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for anyone's time on this!

BJ

If those are flanged nuts, I don't think washers are needed.

Sure looks like there was something on that bolt at some point. I'd put a nut and washer on it.

Thanks for the response. Not sure about the nut yet, but my question was more about a nut missing on the bolt sticking out In the picture. There is nothing on it at all where the others have a nut. Both rear Stabilizers have nuts on the back side. The fronts have nothing.

I've never seen an application where one would use a threaded fastener (bolt) without a nut. That being said there could be such a situation but in that case why wouldn't you use a smooth pin. If you look at the other end of the bolt and if it is captured then it is unlikely that it will come out. If it were me I'd put a nut and washer on it as well as some blue thread locker and tighten it down. It seems like there would be little use in contacting the manufacturer for any torque specs so youi could torque it to the size of the bolt. Good luck.
