Skid rollers

So when I back out my driveway the skid bars drag a little on the road. When I pull in the mud flap gets caught under the bars and almost ripped they flap off. I was thinking of mounting those skid wheels on the hitch cross bar. Maybe give me that like 1/2" more clearance. Anyone use these? Or something else. I really don't want to put any air bags or things like that. Other option is the wood thing but that's extra work.
