Sorry - another tire question (Michelin)
Hello,
So, I researched the heck out of tires several months ago for our Forest River 24' Forrester MH. I finally decided on Michelin LTX M/S tires. We have used our local tire store for 35 years and I totally trust them - they are a Cooper tire center and we've run Coopers on all our rigs and been happy over the years, but I wanted to make sure we got the best MH tire (if that's possible? Ford VS Chevy) Because we are going from Washington State to Maine in the fall and I wanted the new tires mounted at the end of this month. Anyway, I came up with the above tire.
Our local dealer just called me yesterday and told me he can STILL get that tire, but Michelin is discontinuing that exact model and replacing it with "Michelin AGILIS CROSS CLIMATE" He said they are the exact same tire except a very slightly different tread design.
He went on to tell me that he worries about us having a tire problem (not likely, but he said you never know!") with the new LTX tires on our cross country trip and then having a tough time finding a dealer that can find another LTX to match the other 5. While he's a Cooper guy, he says Michelins are GREAT tires, but they don't play well with other brands = they don't mix and match well.
SO, does anyone own this new model that just came out = "AGILIS CROSSCLIMATE"??? He thinks they are a great tire that is almost the same as the LTX, but I thought I'd ask the community for some advice!
Thanks!!
Bogey
