Spare Tire Tip!

Actually more of a reminder than a tip as I'm sure this has been covered before. I was putting together a tool kit before taking my 2104S out on it's shakedown voyage, including stuff for changing out a flat tire. Fortunately I checked my lug nut socket against the hardware that holds the spare to it's mount and whattaya know, not even close. If I was stuck on the side of the highway with a flat I'd have everything to jack up and remove the old wheel, but no way to remove the spare! That would be just slightly embarrassing to say the least. I had a 3/4" deep socket handy which fits perfectly and went straight in the road kit.
Something to think about!

And make sure that you check that it has air in it...

Good call, I do it every time I check the regular tire pressures. Just in case, I invested in a small 12V air compressor and keep it in the truck.

I replaced the mounting bolts with lug bolts and lug nuts the same size as axle. Only lug wrench needed.
