Squeaking brake and...

Hello all,
My new trailer has about 300 miles on it's brakes. At first I had my Tundra's level set to 7. I could feel a little slowing when applying them manually. Thinking that they are just there to help out the truck a little? Now one side seems to grab, squeal and lock up when coming to a stop on level 3.

I pulled the drum and inspected the squealing side, and all looks good. Jacked up each wheel to test the brakes when applying voltage and they do both work.

Any ideas why one side squeals and grabs more than the other?

Thanks.

Did you just pull the one hub? If so, then I'd pull the rest of them. Even though they appear to be working somewhat, they may be misadjusted or have some grease on the shoes/hubs.

Thanks for the reply. I will do that. Also, I will check and re-adjust the self adjusters if they are too far backed off.
