Did a suspension upgrade repair on my trailer.
Not as bad as I thought. The hardest part of the job was getting it up on the jack stands so I could drop the axels.
Bought the Lippert Triple axel kit.
All the parts were correct and fit perfectly.
The first indication of a problem was the constant squeaking from the suspension.
When I dropped the axels and removed the original bushings, the right side bushings were worn out. Metal on metal. The left side bushings were worn but not nearly as bad. My guess would be that the roadways have an incline to shed off water which would have the trailer leaning to the right putting more weight on that side.
It took me 3hrs to change out the bushings and about 2hrs to jack it up on the stands and get it back down.
I left the trailer hitched to the truck so it wouldn’t shift during the raising.
All in all.....it wasn’t too bad a job.
Just wish I still had my 30 yr old body. Kinda hard to do this at 62!!
