Greetings All. We are newbies and fastly getting ready to become full timers when our home sells later this week. We recently purchase a 2003 F250 crew cab, short bed and will be towing our 2011 34ft Palomino Sabre. We had new tires put on the truck a few weeks ago,
16 inch, Big O A/T Big Foot. I'm not feeling entirely comfortable with them as they seem to be too responsive while on the road, with or without the 5th wheel in tow. When in tow we have the truck's front wheels at 55 lbs and back wheels at 70 lbs as labeled on the tires. Hubby seem to think they move much easier on the roads and highways because we have more air in the truck tires to support the weight of the rig. It just seems so very different from our everyday Silverado. I'm wondering if I'll ever feel comfortable traveling (much less driving it myself) with this truck and 5th wheel....or is this just newbie gitters?
Any opinions and/or recommendations you can share about these tires (or any you would recommend) would be greatly appreciated.
