Tire Vote ???

Hello All

With the help of all of you,i have decided to replace all 4 of my factory TT tires since one has shown belt separation.

I have narrowed it down to two tires, both 205-75-14 load range D, and about the same price.

1. Carlisle Trail HD

2. Kenda Karrier

Would greatly appreciate your vote and opinions on these 2 .

Many Thanks

Number 1 is a good tire, never heard of the 2nd one so I would stay away from it.
FYI, my next tire will be the Goodyear endurance

Have we totally lost the ability to think for ourself. Is this so we can blame others for our lack of decision making abilities? How did we ever survive before the internet and others making decisions for us?

So what is wrong with asking opinions from others? Before the internet I would ask opinions of neighbors, family, friends, coworkers, and different tire stores, (knowing they would be biased). Then I would decide. I have been around long before the internet but it seems I see a lot more unhelpful people now that we have it. Or just rude. The OP has to make the final decision. So OP, I have used #1 and had 1 blow out. That was before I had a TPMS so it could have been air loss, or not. Never heard of #2. Waiting to see how the new GY Endurance tire works out. Then I will decide what to replace my Tow Max with.

I replaced mine with Carlisle HD.... Sidewalls are much stiffer than my factory installed Westlakes and they run much cooler on my TPMS.

I am going to replace my OEM 15" load range D tires with "F" s. I asked the tire dealer where the tires were made and they said all STs are foreign. Well, I am going to check Costco next. I would never own a TT with 14" tires again.

#2 Carlisle
#3 Goodyear Endurance when they are a little more proven (US made)

Frank, really? Have you never asked anyone a question about anything? Ever? It doesn't matter the medium.

I had a blowout 97 miles into our cross country trip. I had about 7,500 miles on the original tires only 2 years old. I replaced all 4 with Carlisle tires. While at the tire shop they noticed another tire that was not going to last long. I have TPMS that there was a problem when the tire blue and I pulled off the road before it could cause any damage.

We completed our trip and put almost 8,000 miles on the new tires. I have no complaints. I rested easier driving with the new tires.

Carlisle HD for me.
I actually just bought my 3rd set yesterday. Ran the first 2 sets on my old 5er without any problems for 5 years.

Check out your local Walmart or discount tire. Make sure that the new tires have a born on date that is less than 3 to 4 months old. I am going to buy 4 new Carlisle tire next spring from Walmart before my 15,000 mile trip next summer. Buy the Highest load that will fit your rims! for 14" rims D and 15" rims E load range. Make sure they replace the valve stems with high pressure stems.

Hope This Helps Tim

If you mean Walmart I went to there tire department in September and asked how old the tires were that he had to have shipped from there warehouse and he said that they were 2-4 months old. Each tire has a DOT date code molded into the side of the tire. Google DOT tire date code to learn how to read.
